Sleep has a big impact on our mood, immunity, muscle recovery and productivity. The physical and psychological benefits of good sleep are numerous. However, today a French person sleeps 1:30 hour less than 50 years ago. The average sleep time is under 7 hours with more than 30% of the population sleeping less than 6 hours per night, which is way less than doctors’ recommendations. The most affected are the night workers due to the disruption of their sleep that leads to adverse health effects (cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer and accidents).
